HealthStars, Inc. (“HealthStars,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides access to the HealthStars platform and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”).

1. Nature of the Service

HealthStars is a fitness and performance analytics platform that provides:

  • Workout tracking
  • Sprint Interval Training (SIT) insights
  • Performance metrics
  • Optional challenges and training programs

HealthStars is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

2. Not Medical Advice

All information provided through the Services is for fitness, wellness, and performance purposes only. HealthStars:

  • Does not diagnose medical conditions
  • Does not recommend medical treatment
  • Does not replace professional medical advice

You should consult a physician before beginning any high-intensity or maximal-effort exercise program.

3. Assumption of Risk

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • High-intensity exercise carries inherent risk
  • Sprint Interval Training (SIT) involves maximal or near-maximal effort
  • Max heart rate challenges may place significant stress on the body

By using HealthStars, you voluntarily assume all risks related to physical activity and participation in training programs.

4. Max Heart Rate Challenges & Performance Testing

HealthStars may offer:

  • Voluntary max heart rate challenges
  • Performance benchmarks
  • Competitive or self-guided training sessions

Participation is optional and undertaken at your own risk. HealthStars is not responsible for injuries, health events, or misuse of the Services.

5. Pilot Programs & Training Facilities

HealthStars may operate pilot programs or partnerships with:

  • Athletic facilities
  • Performance centers
  • Training organizations

Participation in pilot programs:

  • Does not establish a medical or coaching relationship
  • May involve additional disclosures or waivers
  • Does not guarantee performance outcomes

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Services safely and responsibly
  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Stop exercising if you experience adverse symptoms
  • Not misuse or attempt to manipulate performance metrics

7. Intellectual Property

All content, algorithms, metrics, scoring systems (including the SIT Score), and software are owned by HealthStars and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not:

  • Copy
  • Reverse engineer
  • Resell
  • Exploit proprietary systems

8. Account Suspension & Termination

HealthStars may suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Unsafe behavior
  • Policy violations
  • Fraudulent activity

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HealthStars shall not be liable for:

  • Personal injury
  • Health outcomes
  • Data inaccuracies
  • Losses arising from use of the Services

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold HealthStars harmless from claims arising from misuse of the Services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
